The paths of the discoverers of The Lost
Library crossed many times before their joint quest for the discovery of the
fabled library and foundation of a means to distribute the knowledge,
enlightenment, and enjoyment it contained was fulfilled. They met at Victoria
Falls in Tanzania where Robert was seeking a legendary hoard of gold coins
minted at King Solomon’s mines and Gina, with her husband Steve, was en route
to the western summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro to see if that frozen leopard was
really up there. They were surprised to learn that they lived in the same
town and had attended the same schools, but never met before. They were also
surprised to discover a shared interest in discovering The Lost Library of
Pensacola. They encountered one another many time on their various journeys
around the globe: Robert in search of rare, undiscovered, and precious coins
and arms; Gina on a journey to amass large quantities of obscure and unusable
knowledge. Shortly after returning from working on multiple projects in
Hollywood, Robert returned to his family’s well-respected auction gallery in
Pensacola to help locals discover their own hidden treasures in coinage and
militaria. Deciding to settle down for awhile, Gina returned to Pensacola as
well and began graduate studies in literature and writing. Gina began working
at the auction gallery and the quest for The Lost Library began in earnest.
Then one day, on a routine appraisal trip with Robert’s father, they found The
Lost Library in the place where most things are found. It was not in a cave,
buried in a long lost tomb, or guarded by mythological beasts. It was the
home of a fellow lover of books, stories, histories, and knowledge.
Now in her quest to impart her knowledge onto the youth of the world, Gina is
moving on. She has passed the Reigns of Knowledge to the New Librarian
Kristin.
